SCHEDULES TO PLOT
There are daily flights from Athens with Olympic Airways (in 35 minutes) and Thessaloniki Astra Airlines (in 50 minutes) during the summer period. Also, every Monday Sky Express connects Chios with Heraklion, Rhodes, Lesvos and Lemnos and on Friday, Samos is added to the itinery.
Direct flights to Chios from overseas leave from Amsterdam (Transavia) every Monday and Thursday until October 7, from Vienna every Wednesday until September 25 (Austrian Airlines), from Oslo (SAS Airlines), from Brussels on Monday (Thomas Cook) and Prague every 10 days via Mytilini (Travel Service) .
Chios is connected to Piraeus with various boat companies such as Hellenic Seaways, Blue Star Ferries and NEL Lines and the journey time is 6-8 hours depending on the season. There is a direct connection from Lavrion to Mesta with NEL Lines once a week.
There are also ferries which connect Chios to other islands including: Mytilini, Samos, Kavala, Limnos, Thessaloniki, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Kos, Rhodes and the neighboring islands Inousses and Psara.
There is a ferry which travels from Chios to Cesme (Turkey) every morning at 0900 and returns at 1900. The journey time is 50 minutes. The distance between Cesme and Izmir road is one hour.
The road system is in very good condition in Chios island and the traffic very extremely low especially when leaving the City of Chios. The Seafront Studios and Apartments are approximately located in the middle of the island. We suggest you have your own means of transportation so that you are able to explore more of the island or you can use the local transport. The schedules are available at reception.
Just 1km from the Seafront Studios and Apartments is the General Hospital of Chios (Skylitseio) which is open 24 hours a day. In the south lies the small hospital of Pirgi, also open 24 hours a day and there are also clinics in Volissos and other villages.
